Would you consider reading the holy book of a religion you don't adhere to?

I probably wouldn't read anything but the Bible cover-to-cover, though I have read parts of the Koran and read some of the teachings of Buddhism. However, once you have the genuine, reading the counterfeits seems somewhat counterproductive.
