Do any famous musicians use plywood body instruments?

Title really says most. I just bought a bass made of with a body made of plywood and it really sounds great, but I just don't like the thought of playing something that is probably made of a recycled door. It might make me feel better about it or stop me from returning it if I knew some professionals actually use these stringed pieces of door.
