What do the visitors of Animal Farm see?

I just finished reading Animal Farm and I thought it was amazing! I was just wondering... Seeing as how it seems like the animals were treated so poorly by Napoleon what did the visitors see when the toured the farm? What was going on, on the farm when the visitors were there? I know that the animals were weeding the turnip field and such, but did they see the animals being treated pooorly or what?
