Where, in the Talmud, is the following phrase? "We do not see things as they are. We see things as we are."?

Many sites I've searched attribute this phrase to French/American writer Anas Nin. But several other sites claim it comes from the Jewish Talmud. If it is in the Talmud, its location should be well known. However, I have not seen a single site referencing the actual passage.
